His Daughter's Name

The mighty Lord

It was a long time ago, before history, before the time of the "Winged Pharaohs", that in a land now known as Egypt there lived a mighty God who was also a Pharaoh. He ruled over the land and its peoples. Because he was a God he did not have to live in a big palace and so he and his tribe traveled freely in the desert. They crossed the land as directed by the winds and paid homage to the sun for the life it gave.

The Lord Pharaoh was honest and just and he had many wives. The youngest and fairest of all had just given birth to his first child, a daughter, but when the Lord set to thinking about giving his daughter a name he was so gracious that he invited all of the peoples of his land to offer their suggestions. Messengers were sent out to all corners of his kingdom and many weeks went by but nobody would offer a name that was really suitable. The Lord became very sad. Did no-one care enough to give his only daughter a name that was worthy of her? Finally, he asked his people to search far and wide for someone wise enough to help him.

In time, a wise teacher, called Almaysha, heard about the daughter with no name and came to see the Lord Pharaoh of offer his help. When Almaysha arrived he was invited to rest and he ate while the mighty Lord patiently waited.

At last, refreshed and ready, Almaysha stood before the Lord and spoke.

"I have traveled over many days and thought many things and only now, as I stand before you, do I know the answer to your quest. Are you not The Lord of All Time?"

The Lord smiled at Almaysha and bowed graciously. "So?" he replied quietly.

"Then the answer is simple. Your daughter shall be know as 'Truth'. For is not Truth the daughter of Time?"

Again the Lord smiled and said, "Correct. And all men shall know of this."
